Horseback Riding

Taking a Day Ride with Cascade Corrals is very popular. Gentle, trail-wise Norwegian Fjord horses take you on a 2.5 hr round trip ride from Stehekin Valley Ranch to Coon Lake. Enjoy breathtaking views as you travel through the North Cascades.

• Trips leave twice daily at 8:15 am and 2:15 pm from Stehekin Valley Ranch.

Beginner and intermediate hour long lessons are provided by Cascade Corrals. Lessons will be given mainly on Norwegian Fjord horses, using Western or English style saddles.

Beginners will learn horsemanship. We'll start with grooming and saddling your horse. From there we'll move into a corral for basic horsemanship - learn to walk and trot, neck reining and communication with your horse.

Intermediates will start with the same program and have the option of moving to the trail, depending on their experience level.

Helmets will be provided and are required.
